EstesHistory.com is the owned and operated by
Tony J. Wedick, also known as the production manager and web guy for the Estes Park Trail-Gazette as well as the photographer and owner of RockyCamera.com and owner of EstesPostcards.com. Tony has lived in Estes Park almost eight years and has visited the area for some twenty-five years.

Soon after starting up RockyCamera.com, Tony was thinking about what other websites he could work on during his non-existant spare time that would use his other interests. Hmm, he thought, he had his collection of Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park antique postcards... In the course of working on that website it became apparent that he really should do some research on the scenes depicted to make the site that much more viable. And if he was going to do that, it seemed like a simple enough transition to create a site about Estes Park history. Well, it seemed simple. The more he thought about it and worked on it it quickly became apparent this was going to be a big, work-in-progress kind of project.

How is this site supported? Mainly from the foolishness and "boy, this would be a cool idea" thought process by Tony. That said, monies to keep this site growing in the future is obtained by visits to our advertisers and sales of prints at RockyCamera.com, Tony's main website.
